EmFace®

Two energy types are delivered simultaneously through the skin via adhesive pads on the forehead and cheeks. The radiofrequency (RF) heats the skin and muscle to around 40degrees, improving skin quality and warming the muscles. The HIFES energy causes specific muscles of the face to contract, strengthen and grow in size, leading to a lifting effect.

The Emface® pads are positioned on your face to specifically and only target the frontalis (forehead) muscle that raises the brows, and three muscles that are responsible for lifting the mid face & mouth corners – zygomaticus major, zygomaticus minor and risorius. Other facial muscles are not affected.

Not at all. This is a non-invasive treatment that involves no needles. You will feel a warm sensation and some comfortable twitching of the muscles during the treatment.

A single Emface® treatment takes 20-30 minutes. 

It is recommended to have a set of 4 treatments, spaced approximately a week apart. Results peak at 3 months (8weeks after the end of the treatment set) and are expected to last at least 12 months based on clinical trial data. Single maintenance treatments are available.

Emface® involves no needles and is non-invasive, therefore bruising and swelling are not an issue. Your skin may be slightly flushed immediately after the treatment for a few hours.

Yes you can! Even if you are having wrinkle-relaxers to your forehead, you will still benefit from Emface® treatment to improve the resting size of the muscle, which can help to elevate the brows without the muscle activating. We recommend waiting for 2 weeks after your wrinkle-relaxers before having an Emface® treatment.

You should wait 2 weeks after dermal filler injections or 1 week after bioremodelling injections before having Emface®.

Yes, you will need to speak with one of our Dermal Therapists prior to your first treatment to ensure that you are suitable for this treatment. Unfortunately, it is not possible to have this treatment if you are pregnant, have uncontrolled epilepsy or some cardiac disorders, if you have any permanent metal accessories or implants near the treatment area, if you have a pacemaker or other electronic implant elsewhere in the body, if you have had any surgery or trauma to the treatment area in the previous 3 months, or if you have had dermal filler to the treatment area within the previous 2 weeks.

A single treatment costs $990. We recommend a full set of 4 treatments at weekly intervals for maximum results, for which the RRP is $3599.
